Mission Briefing

You hear the heated debate in the Ghost's common room well before you see it. „This could be our best chance to take the fight to Thrawn,“ insists Ezra, gesturing toward a holographic depiction of Lothal, complete with several Star Destroyers in orbit. „I know this might be a trap, but what if it isn't? We've been working hard to find an opening to strike back at Thrawn.“

You interrupt to ask what's going on.

„An Imperial engineer got us a message,“ says Kanan. „He wants to defect, and he says he can get us into the datavault containing everything Thrawn's infiltrator droids have gathered.“ You have to simply imagine the significant look on Kanan's face as his mask tilts in your direction. Information that gives him an edge on the Rebellion. But someone just letting us in? It sounds too good to be true.„

„We'd never even get to the ground with Thrawn's goons everywhere,“ says Zeb. „Every Imperial in the sector probably knows what we look like.“

You step forward. The Spectres are important to the Rebellion. They can't afford to take the chance. But you can.

You meet the Imperial defector not far from a small settlement on Lothal. He presses a code cylinder into your palm and teils you the location of an Imperial datavault containing intel critical to Thrawn.

  • The door to the Trophy Room is locked.
  • Neutral mission tokens are insights.
  • While attacking a hero, Imperial figures may apply -1 ia_icon_damage.jpgto the attack results to place 1 insight on that hero's sheet.
  • The mission will progress at the start of the Status Phase (ia_icon_rebellion.jpg). The mission ends at the end of Round 7 or when all heroes are wounded.

Special Setup

The Imperial player claims neutral mission tokens equal to the threat level. Increase ia_icon_threat.jpgwhite_spacer.jpgby twice the threat level and resolve an optional deployment.

Allies (Expansion Rules)

During the Tyrants of Lothal mini campaign, Rebel players follow a different procedure when choosing to deploy an ally in a mission.
During step 7 of „Campaign Mission Setup,“ after the Rebel players choose and deploy an ally, the Imperial player no longer gains threat equal to the Deployment cost listed on the ally's Deployment card. Instead, the Imperial player gains threat equal to half that cost (rounded up) and may resolve an optional deployment. Then, the Imperial player places strain tokens equal to half of the ally's Deployment cost (rounded down) in their play area.
During step 1 of the Status Phase, after gaining threat equal to the threat level, the Imperial player discards one strain token from their play area to increase threat by two. The Imperial player does this each round until there are no strain tokens in their play area. If the ally is defeated, the Imperial player discards any remaining strain tokens in their play area. They do not gain threat for tokens discarded this way.

Available Allies

If playing a mini campaign, heroes may not bring an ally.
